The RFID solutions of the logident® brand from deister electronic are used in all areas of Industry 4.0 – in production, logistics, warehousing, and transport, in automation, materials handling, mechanical and plant engineering.

Versatile high- and ultra-high-frequency RFID readers and tags reliably identify products, containers, vehicles and other resources on 13.56 MHz or 868 MHz. This ensures more transparency, efficiency, and flexibility along the entire supply chain – and thus helps with automation and digitalisation in the value chain.

From compact readers with integrated antennas and a reading range of up to 7 meters to on-metal tags in various forms – all components have robust, weather-resistant housings and function with passive RFID technology. Therefore, they are low-maintenance and ensure long durability with optimal performance.

The tags can be programmed with individual information – for example storage location, content, or quantity. This allows goods and merchandise to be identified and managed even more accurately and independently of the central system.

In cooperation with competent partner companies and system integrators, the application of logident® components is individually planned and tailored to the specific area of application. Therefore, there are hardly any limits to the possible applications.

Future-proof Access Control with Infinity Readers™

The Infinity Readers™ from deister electronic are state-of-the-art Triple-Technology™ readers from our proxEntry® brand. They read on 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz frequencies and support an additional, third reading technology of the customer’s choice, such as Bluetooth® Low Energy.

All Infinity readers can be updated via remote firmware updates, and new sets of custom encryption keys and interface configurations can also be uploaded to the reader remotely – even if the reader is already installed and operational.

The Infinity Reader™ series supports multiple reading technologies and can be expanded with a third, for example Bluetooth® LE, via a module. Thanks to versatile interfaces, the readers make access control systems future-proof by integrating them as components or as a complete solution. On the software side, access rights, users and many other functions are managed in Commander Connect.

The readers are available in different versions: for example, in an EU and a US version, as well as an extra-slim Mullion version – all of them optionally as pure readers or with a PIN keypad. All versions are available in the colors Cosmic Black and Astral Grey. In addition, readers for flush mounting and those with fingerprint readers are also available.

Access Control and Wide Area Identification

The UHF RFID readers and corresponding, versatile RFID tags of the tranSpeed® brand from deister electronic enable efficient, automated wide area identification (AVI) and access control. They are therefore ideal for car parks and traffic management – and even for parking space management.

The readers reliably detect vehicles at up to 7 meters using ISO card, on-metal or self-adhesive windscreen transponders. tranSpeed® can be used as a complete solution with software from deister electronic. Thanks to versatile controllers, converters and interfaces, the components can also be easily integrated into other access control systems.

The TSU 200 UHF readers can be used together with the different tags – whether tamper-proof stickers on the windscreen or directly attached to the vehicle body – and the Commander Connect software as a complete solution for vehicle access control. The software records identified vehicles and defines access rights.

With controllers and converters, readers and tags can also be easily integrated as OEM components into existing third-party systems. This way, tranSpeed® can be used not only for classic access control, but also in rail traffic, in city centers with access barriers, airports or on toll roads.

Finding the perfect position for the passive transponders is helped by the so-called POC, which makes the reader field strength visible via LED.

amanTag® consists of two main components: UHF RFID locators and semi-active transponders. The locators establish surveillance zones, for example at doors that are to be monitored.

Transponders are available as abduction and mix-up protection for mother and child (BabyGuard®, without button) and as runaway protection for people suffering from dementia in nursing homes (SeniorGuard®, without button).

For other people in need of care as well as personnel with a risk potential, there is the PersonalGuard® variant with multiple buttons. The people to be protected wear the transponders on their bodies and are thus detected by the locators as soon as they enter surveillance zones or press the button on a transponder.

As soon as this happens, corresponding alarms and notifications are triggered in the system and passed on to responsible personnel so that a rapid response can be made.

Commander Connect is the central software for all deister electronic solutions. It is where all connected devices are brought together and managed, and where all strands of information come together – notifications, alarms, messages about technical problems and more. In addition, all access rights for users of proxEntry®, proxSafe®, doorLoxx®, tranSpeed® and teXtag® solutions and products are assigned here.

With optional add-ons and apps, the range of functions can be extended even further, and notifications and operating features are also available on smartphones.

As the nerve centre of all deister electronic solutions, Commander Connect manages all systems of the brands proxEntry®, proxSafe®, doorLoxx®, tranSpeed® and teXtag®. Due to various interfaces, the software can also function as middleware to other control systems.

In combination with the deister Cockpit module, Commander Connect is also able to provide comprehensive analyses and reports on consumption, usage behaviour and laundry processes of teXtag® systems. In addition, the deisterGO app, which also provides mobile notifications, and the deisterWallet app, which controls proxEntry®, proxSafe®, doorLoxx® and tranSpeed® products from a smartphone, can be connected.

More hygiene, efficiency and digitalization in workwear management and the entire laundry cycle – all included in the teXtag® room and cabinet solutions from deister electronic. Freely scalable, the laundry dispensing systems are individually project-planned, implemented, and expanded according to customer requirements, making them ideal for use in hospitals and care facilities as well as emergency services.

teXtag® is divided into two main variants: The so-called texRoom – a central room solution – and a cabinet system consisting of intelligent texCabinets that can be installed centrally and decentrally.

Implemented centrally in the building, the texRoom can be entered by staff through a revolving door using an RFID identification medium – such as a work ID card. There, they obtain RFID-tagged clothing. At the exit revolving door, an RFID reader detects which items of clothing are carried on the person leaving.

The texCabinet locker system is an ideal alternative for decentralized clothing dispensing. Here, RFID readers are installed that recognize clothes inside the cabinet. To remove clothes, employees hold their identification medium against the reader built into the door handle, which opens the locker. When the door is closed, the stock is registered again.

Both solutions use so-called texReturn lockers for returning clothes. These also automatically recognize garments inside.

What has been removed from a texRoom or texCabinet, or returned in a texReturn, is booked in the respective staff account in the Commander Connect software.
