Electronic Usage Documentation With and Without RFID
For services performed using technical equipment, the availability and proper condition of the equipment is essential. For high-value equipment with usage restrictions, such as weapons, it must also be ensured that only authorized users have access. Documentation of use is additionally required, especially in such cases. The locker systems from deister electronic meet all these requirements.
- Many form factors
- Customizeable configuration possible
- Contactless maintenance-free technology
- 24/7 access
Secure Locker Systems in Various Sizes
Locker systems ensure safe and controlled storage of all work equipment and other valuables. The systems are made of steel sheets and contain lockers in various sizes. The locker system ‘locker S’, for example, has up to 14 small individual lockers in which smartphones, tablets and similar small electrical devices as well as valuables can be safely stored.
The locker M has 12 medium-sized individual compartments that can hold laptops, large tablets and other electrical devices, as well as service weapons, ammunition and security equipment. The locker L can be used to store bulky valuables such as laptops, tools or important file folders.
Withdrawal Possible 24/7 and Recorded by RFID
Users authenticate themselves via the operator terminal using a PIN, ISO card or transponder. Access is only granted to authorized persons. Rights are assigned in the Commander Connect software with just a few mouse clicks. The individual compartments can be equipped with an integrated RFID reader.
The tools and work equipment either have an embedded RFID chip or are equipped with a keyTag dongle. This tag is inserted into a designated slot in the compartment. Removal, return and user data are recorded automatically.
Many Advantages for Users
In the management software, withdrawal times and parameters for the sequence of withdrawal can be defined, for example, that the least used item should always be issued next. In this way, all items are used evenly and last longer. Since it is electronically documented who removed which item and when, the handling of the equipment improves and the awareness for greater caution increases. If an item is not returned, an alarm is triggered or a notification is sent to the system administrator.
