Last year, iDTRONIC, Europe’s leading supplier of embedded RFID modules, developed and launched a new series of high performance UHF RFID reader modules (840-960 MHz).

Based on the new generation of IMPINJ reader chips, these modules have been successfully integrated into numerous Industry 4.0 applications (including SMD production) by system integrators and engineering companies worldwide.

For the first anniversary of this UHF embedded product line, iDTRONIC has further optimized its offering with innovative interface boards, an all-in-one developer board and IC chip customization options.

Regardless of the application environment, be it asset tracking in industrial processes or product identification in retail stores, these five modules offer tremendous flexibility and reliability.

The compact designs (including SMD), high read rates of up to ≥1000 tags/sec and powerful RF outputs of 30-33 dBm are just a few reasons why these embedded modules are ideal for industrial automation. In addition, they support EPC UHF Class 1 Gen 2 (ISO 18000-63) protocol tags as well as 98% of UHF transponders on the market.

Connecting the right way – iDTRONIC Interface Boards

To simplify the initial phase of RF prototyping and integration into customer devices and machines, iDTRONIC offers embedded UHF INTERFACE BOARDS that feature an industry-standard design and are compatible with all of its embedded UHF modules. Standard communication interfaces such as USB, USB Type-C, RS232 and TCP/IP are supported by the interface boards, simplifying the communication process with other electronic components.

UHF Developer Board: The Ultimate Test Kit

The aluminum-coated development board provides numerous threaded holes for screw mounting of the modules, which enhances heat dissipation and convenience. This all-in-one interface board can be directly connected to iDTRONIC RFID modules and provides USB, RS232, TCP/IP and RS485 communication interfaces.

The board can be used to easily evaluate the performance of the RF module and test the execution of various operations (GPIO, reset, power-on control, etc.). Combine the development board with our UHF antennas and UHF tags for a complete kit to get the most out of your RFID application.

There are 5 models to choose from

Our UHF reader modules [M600 | M620 | M630 | M650 | M670] are specifically designed for high precision performance. With one to eight antenna ports, these modules offer flexibility and stable operation even in harsh environments. The RFID modules feature compact size, low power consumption and high stability. They are also resistant to electromagnetic interference and have good heat dissipation.

All 5 UHF modules are particularly suitable for demanding industries such as warehousing, logistics, apparel, production lines and the like. With these high performance reader modules, users can read multiple UHF RFID tags in a confined space faster and ensure consistency of the tags read. In addition, they comply with both European and U.S. regulations, making it easier to operate globally.
