Developed by herpa tech, produced by herpa print: With its new all-round type label, herpa is launching a particularly robust, individually printable labeling solution that combines HF and UHF technology as well as NFC in a single label—including integrated on-metal functionality.
Many companies face a dilemma when it comes to labeling machines, components, or spare parts: Hard tags are often too inflexible or appear "standardized," while on-metal labels do not always achieve the desired mechanical robustness in demanding environments. This is where herpa's new type plate comes in – with a design that is tailored for outdoor use and industrial applications.
Developed for harsh conditions: UV-stable, abrasion-resistant, strong adhesion
At the heart of the type plate is a UV film with high color fastness. An offshore test over a year confirmed that the material effectively prevents fading. In addition, the back printing of the top film ensures high mechanical abrasion resistance – an important factor in environments with friction, contact, or regular cleaning.
Special adhesives are used for mounting, enabling reliable bonding even on rough surfaces – especially on powder-coated metal, where many standard solutions reach their adhesion limits.
Flexible in shape and design – ideal for professional identification
The label is self-adhesive and can be individually printed. Different shapes, colors, and sizes can be easily realized – in line with corporate design specifications or internal labeling systems.
