Technology meets humanity

For Christmas 2025, deister electronic is giving away the book "Ein Experiment mit Gott" (An Experiment with God) to all German-speaking customers. The book tells the true story of an encounter that led to a decades-long partnership between the high-tech company from Barsinghausen and the Diospi Suyana relief organization in the Peruvian Andes.

An encounter with consequences

It all began in April 2004, when Dr. Klaus John, founder of the Christian aid organization Diospi Suyana, unexpectedly knocked on deister electronic's door. His request: support for a hospital project in Peru – without a building, without funds, only with a vision.

"I was surprised and skeptical," recalls Anatoli Stobbe, managing director of deister electronic GmbH. "But two years later, Dr. John was back in my office and said, 'The time has come. The shell is complete.' The fact that God had so visibly accompanied this project was a formative experience for me."

What began as a spontaneous conversation developed into an extraordinary partnership. Since 2006, deister electronic has been supporting the Diospi Suyana hospital project with state-of-the-art security technology – from access control to organizational systems – and a six-figure financial contribution.

Several employees also visited Peru in person and experienced firsthand how technology and faith work together to make a difference.

Diospi Suyana – Hope in the Andes

"Diospi Suyana" means " we trust in God" in Quechua . The project was founded in 2004 by Dr. Klaus and Dr. Martina John. Their goal: to provide medical care for indigenous and low-income families in the Andes.

Today, Diospi Suyana comprises a state-of-the-art hospital, a school, a media center, and a recreation center in Curahuasi, Peru. The project is financed almost exclusively by donations – supported by people and companies who believe in practical charity.

deister electronic has been supporting this development for almost two decades – as a technical partner, sponsor, and friend.

"We are grateful to be part of this work of faith," says Stobbe. "Diospi Suyana shows that technological expertise and human commitment can reinforce each other."
