The Rinas thermal drop-on-demand (DOD) variable data monochrome printing system is a powerful print module designed to complement MagStripe, RFID and smart card encoding solutions. Based on state-of-the-art piezoelectric technology, it enables high-resolution, on-demand printing of variable data on plastic cards and paper tickets.

The transport speed of the card or ticket under the print head can be flexibly adjusted to suit the operational environment – this also defines the UV exposure time for curing. As an ideal extension to the modular Rinas CS-LWR and CS-SWR universal encoders, the DOD printer integrates seamlessly into customized encoding and printing configurations.

Intelligent (µC-controlled) modules allow tailored system setups that precisely match customer requirements in terms of throughput, data handling and process reliability.
