Key Management with the proxSafe maxx 6U Key Box

With up to 64 slots, the maxx key box securely manages individual keys as well as complete key rings. Keys are attached to robust keyTag fobs with an integrated RFID tag.

Users authenticate at a connected terminal using an RFID credential and select the key they want to retrieve. For return, they authenticate again—either with their credential or via the keyTag—and place the key back into the maxx together with the keyTag. The key box supports all 3U keyPanels from the flexx series.

All removals and returns are recorded in the central Commander Connect software, which also manages access rights. This provides full transparency at all times: you can see which key is where and who last accessed it.

After authentication at the terminal, the roller shutter of the maxx 6U opens automatically and the selected slot is highlighted with a red light. Once the key and keyTag are removed, the unit closes automatically. During return, authentication is performed again and a red LED indicates the correct slot for reinsertion.

Commander Connect also supports notifications, for example when time-limited key checkouts are not returned on time.

For even greater flexibility, the flexx key cabinet is available. Depending on the model, it can accommodate several thousand keys and—thanks to modular panels—also supports ISO cards and radio devices. Combined systems of multiple connected maxx and flexx cabinets are scalable as needed. Via software interfaces, proxSafe® solutions can also be integrated into third-party systems.
