Smart license plate for motorcycles: EVI on the front headlight

IDeSTIX Headlamp Tag extends electronic vehicle identification to motorcycles and light vehicles

No windshield? No problem. With the IDeSTIX Headlamp Tag, the TÖNNJES International Group is transferring its proven concept of electronic vehicle identification (EVI) to motorized two-wheelers and light vehicles. The tag is attached directly to the front headlight, enabling reliable identification from the front—ideal for control zones, toll control, and national registration systems.

"Two-wheelers usually have their official license plate at the rear. The IDeSTIX Headlamp Tag closes this gap – contactless, tamper-proof and in real time if required," says Jochen Betz, Managing Director of the TÖNNJES International Group.

IDeSTIX is a self-adhesive RFID sticker for windshields and headlights based on passive RAIN RFID and cryptographic authentication (e.g., UCODE DNA from NXP).
