Quectel FGH200M Certified for Large-Scale Wi-Fi HaLow Deployment

Quectel’s FGH200M module has received FCC, IC, CE and RCM certification. Based on Morse Micro’s second-generation MM8108 SoC, it gives IoT manufacturers a validated Wi-Fi HaLow platform for bringing long-range, power-efficient devices into mass production.

Multi-Market Certification Simplifies Production

The completed certifications cover the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia/New Zealand. Manufacturers can integrate the FGH200M without repeating the core radio-compliance testing already completed at module level.

According to Morse Micro, this testing can add several months to a product development schedule. The certified module therefore provides a more direct route from evaluation and prototyping to commercial production.

The approvals also support a single global module SKU across the covered markets. For device manufacturers and system integrators, this can simplify sourcing, hardware standardisation and the management of international product variants.

Based on Morse Micro’s MM8108 SoC

The FGH200M is built around Morse Micro’s second-generation MM8108 Wi-Fi HaLow system-on-chip. It operates in the 850 to 950 MHz frequency range and supports channel bandwidths of 1, 2, 4 and 8 MHz.

These options allow developers to balance communication range, data throughput and power consumption according to the application. Quectel and Morse Micro identify visual sensing, autonomous mobile robots, Industrial IoT and Edge AI systems as key target areas.

Such applications require more than basic sensor connectivity. They combine extended wireless coverage with increasing demands for data transmission, mobility and local processing.

Compact Module for Space-Constrained Devices

The fully integrated module measures 11.0 × 10.0 × 2.0 millimetres. Its compact form factor is intended for products where PCB space, radio integration effort and development time are critical.

The FGH200M packages the capabilities of the MM8108 into a production-oriented module. Manufacturers can therefore adopt Wi-Fi HaLow without developing a complete radio design directly around the chipset.

For companies moving beyond proof-of-concept installations, the module provides a repeatable hardware foundation for product families and larger deployment volumes.

Expanding the Wi-Fi HaLow Hardware Ecosystem

The FGH200M is the latest Quectel module based on Morse Micro silicon. Its certification expands the range of production-ready Wi-Fi HaLow hardware available to IoT manufacturers.

Michael De Nil, CEO of Morse Micro, said the certification in major markets simplifies and accelerates product launches through a single global SKU.

Delbert Sun, Vice General Manager at Quectel Wireless Solutions, highlighted the growing relevance of longer-range connectivity combined with power efficiency. The certified module is intended to provide device manufacturers with a faster and more predictable path to scalable Wi-Fi HaLow products.

From Evaluation to Series Production

The certification moves the FGH200M beyond evaluation and proof-of-concept use. It is now positioned as a validated component for commercial device development and mass production.

For system integrators, the module creates a standardised connectivity option for industrial, mobile and edge-based applications. For device manufacturers, it combines selectable channel bandwidths, compact dimensions and multi-market certification in one platform.
