Brady i7500: RFID Label Printing Without Setup Waste

The new BradyPrinter i7500 Industrial RFID Label Printer is designed to print and encode the first UHF RFID label correctly, while automating chip detection, antenna selection and encoding verification to simplify setup and reduce wasted labels.

Brady Corporation introduces the BradyPrinter i7500 Industrial RFID Label Printer, a new industrial UHF RFID printer designed to make RFID label printing easier, faster and more efficient. The i7500 prints and encodes the first label correctly without consuming additional labels during calibration or setup.

Tested competitive models can waste 10 to 30 labels after each consumable change before setup is complete. The i7500 eliminates this unnecessary label waste while automating key steps in the RFID configuration process.

Automatic RFID Chip Detection

A key feature of the i7500 is its ability to automatically locate the RFID chip within the loaded label.

Based on the detected chip position, the printer automatically selects the appropriate internal antenna and power level required to encode the UHF RFID label. On many RFID printers, these parameters need to be configured manually.

The i7500 can accurately detect RFID chips even on labels as narrow as 15 mm. Its print and encoding technologies are patent-pending.

Fast, Automated Setup

The i7500 supports large and small UHF RFID labels as well as on-metal and off-metal label designs.

Setup takes less than three minutes, including for on-metal labels up to 2 mm thick. Depending on the comparison model, the i7500 is between two and 25 times faster to set up than tested competitive printers.

This fast, automated setup helps protect operational throughput by reducing support interventions, UHF RFID tag scrap, component scrap, unplanned downtime and production bottlenecks.

The printer achieves a print and programming speed of approximately three seconds per label.

Automatic RFID Encoding Verification

The i7500 also includes automatic verification of UHF RFID label encoding.

At the same time, it can print human-readable information, barcodes and small machine-readable QR codes in 300 or 600 dpi.

Data can be sourced directly from company systems and transferred to the printer via Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Common data standards are supported, including GS1 for globally unique RFID EPC codes and item-level barcodes.

The BradyPrinter i7500 RFID makes on-site RFID printing more accessible across a wider range of industrial applications.
