Brady Completes $1.4 Billion Acquisition of Honeywell PSS
Brady Corporation has completed its $1.4 billion acquisition of Honeywell Technologies’ Productivity Solutions and Services business. The deal adds mobile computing, barcode scanning, RFID and workflow software to Brady’s identification portfolio, creating a broader industrial data capture and productivity platform.
Brady Expands from Identification into Connected Workflows
Brady Corporation completed the acquisition of Honeywell Technologies’ Productivity Solutions and Services, PSS, business on August 3, 2026. The all-cash transaction is valued at $1.4 billion and was financed through cash on hand, a senior unsecured credit facility and private placement debt.
The acquisition materially broadens Brady’s technology scope. Its existing strengths in printers, consumables, identification and specialty adhesive materials are now complemented by PSS capabilities in mobile computing, barcode scanning, RFID and workflow software.
PSS generated approximately $1.1 billion in sales in 2025 and brings more than 3,000 employees into Brady.
RFID, Scanning and Mobility Join One Technology Portfolio
For the Auto-ID and Wireless IoT market, the transaction is significant because it brings several layers of industrial identification and data capture into one organization.
Brady can now cover a wider operational chain, from assigning a physical identity to an asset or product, to capturing data through barcode or RFID, accessing it via mobile devices and connecting it with software-driven workflows.
For system integrators, this creates a broader supplier platform for applications including asset tracking, inventory management, material flow, mobile workforce processes and industrial identification.
The strategic shift is clear: Brady is moving from a strong position in identification products toward a more integrated industrial technology portfolio combining hardware, data capture and workflow software.
Addressable Productivity Market Reaches $9 Billion
According to Brady, the acquisition provides access to an approximately $9 billion productivity solutions market.
The company sees automation, digitization and asset tracking as key demand drivers as organizations seek to improve efficiency across manufacturing, logistics and other industrial environments.
PSS also adds software and service offerings with recurring revenue potential. Brady expects these capabilities to strengthen customer relationships while expanding the share of software and services within the overall business.
Two Segments Define the New Brady Structure
Following the acquisition, Brady will operate through two reportable segments.
The existing Brady business becomes Identification Solutions, while PSS will operate as Intelligent Productivity Solutions.
According to Brady President and CEO Vineet Nargolwala, the combined company now spans identification, safety, connectivity and intelligent workflow solutions.
The new structure reflects the wider role Brady intends to play in industrial operations: not only identifying objects and materials, but increasingly connecting identification with data capture and process execution.
Immediate Earnings Contribution Expected
Brady expects the PSS acquisition to contribute approximately $0.80 in incremental adjusted diluted earnings per share during the first twelve months after closing.
The company also targets at least $25 million in annual run-rate cost synergies within three years, primarily through operational efficiencies.
Following transaction financing, Brady expects net debt-to-EBITDA of approximately 2.5x and plans to reduce the ratio to below 2.0x within two years. These figures are non-GAAP financial measures and represent forward-looking expectations from the company.
From Identification to Integrated Industrial Data Capture
The acquisition significantly expands Brady’s role beyond identification products. By adding PSS capabilities in mobile computing, barcode scanning, RFID and workflow software, Brady can address a broader part of the operational data chain, from identifying a physical asset to capturing, processing and using that data in digital workflows.
For manufacturers, logistics operators and system integrators, this creates a more integrated technology platform for asset tracking, inventory control, material movement and mobile operations.
The strategic relevance lies in combining identification hardware, automatic data capture, enterprise mobility and workflow software within one supplier portfolio. This can reduce the number of technology layers that customers and integrators need to source and connect separately.
