Balluff presents BIS VU-330: Compact M30 UHF reader for high-speed applications
With the BIS VU-330, Balluff is expanding its RFID portfolio with a particularly compact UHF reader in M30 format. Developed for applications with limited installation space and high process speeds, the reader combines precise short-range identification with easy integration—especially in machines and conveyor systems.
The BIS VU-330 can be used with the proven BIS V-61xx processor unit and achieves a reading range of up to 300 mm. At the same time, it recognizes up to ten transponders in parallel, making it ideal for dynamic applications in the automotive industry, metal processing, intralogistics, and factory automation.
UHF performance in a compact M30 design
Thanks to its space-saving design, the reader is particularly suitable for installation situations where conventional UHF solutions were previously oversized. Optimized signal processing reduces interference in the UHF range and minimizes reflections – for stable and reliable identification even in demanding environments.
Another highlight is the auto-setup function, which enables quick and easy commissioning. Machine and plant manufacturers benefit from rapid integration into existing systems.
