Detailed product information
Industrial UHF Mid-Range Reader with Integrated Antenna
The ID MRU400X from FEIG is a robust industrial UHF mid-range RFID reader designed for demanding applications in industry, logistics, and railway environments.
Featuring an integrated circularly polarized antenna and up to 1 Watt output power, the reader enables reliable identification of EPC Class1 Gen2 and ISO 18000-63 transponders at read ranges of more than 4 meters.
Built for harsh indoor and outdoor environments (IP65/IP67), the MRU400X comes in a rugged aluminum housing with industrial-grade M12 connectors. This makes it ideal for installation on machines, conveyor systems, forklifts, and rail vehicles. The reader is designed to meet railway standards such as EN 50155 and supports applications including position detection, passenger information updates, and selective door control.
Beyond RFID performance, the MRU400X serves as an edge computing platform. Equipped with a Linux-based system (ARM Cortex-A7 + Cortex-M4), it enables custom applications to run directly on the device. Secure key storage via a secure element and support for authentication mechanisms according to ISO/IEC 29167 allow the implementation of secure UHF RFID systems.
