Detailed product information
Unattended Payment Terminal with Integrated NFC & PIN Entry
cVEND PIN terminals are highly integrated and powerful unattended payment terminals that combine a high-resolution color display, a fully integrated NFC unit, a contactless reader and secure PIN entry in a compact, robust housing. As a special feature, they offer a vandal-proof, full-size stainless steel PIN pad with haptic feedback for secure, barrier-free PIN entry – ideal for public environments and users with limited dexterity.
Six additional function keys enable convenient confirmations and corrections and allow on-site configuration of the terminal. In addition to LAN and several RS232 and USB interfaces, the cVEND PIN provides a standard MDB connection for power supply and seamless integration into a wide range of vending machine controllers. Low power consumption in standby mode makes the terminal suitable even for battery- or solar-powered machines.
Secure, Flexible Payments for Vending, Parking, EV Charging and Transit
The FEIG cVEND PIN is the first machine terminal to be approved for solo operation without a chip card or magnetic stripe reader. It supports the new “Tap & PIN” process for purely contactless payments above 50 euros.
All cVEND PIN models can optionally be equipped with a hybrid card reader for EMV chip cards and magnetic stripes, giving operators maximum flexibility. Closed-loop cards (e.g. MIFARE, CIPURSE, ITSO, VDV-KA) can also be processed in parallel with credit and debit cards, and age verification via German girocard is supported.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, cVEND PIN combines the PIN pad, NFC reader and high-contrast multi-color graphic display into a single, compact device. The illuminated stainless steel keypad and NFC unit integrated into the display ensure intuitive, user-friendly operation. The terminal is ideal for a wide range of unattended contactless payment applications such as vending, parking, EV charging or transit.
The advantages in eMobility are highlighted in the Think WIoT interview with Frank Edunjobi, Senior Project Manager PAYMENT at FEIG ELECTRONIC "FEIG Electronic Launches a New Era of eMobility Payments", which shows how integrating FEIG’s cVEND hardware with ev-pay’s cloud services creates a compliant, plug-and-play payment solution that eliminates integration complexity and enables widespread ad-hoc card payments at EV charging stations.
Thanks to the flexibly configurable MDB interface and standardized ZVT and MDB cash register protocols, integration into existing systems is straightforward. Additional currencies and languages can be configured for deployments outside Germany.
cVEND PIN is approved according to TA 7.2 and DC-POS 3.0 for girocard, credit and debit cards and mobile payment and has been certified by numerous German payment service providers. The terminal is designed for long-term reliability, protects your investment over its entire service life and is also tested and ready for use in vehicles.
