Primo1D Closes New Financial Round to Boost Its Deployment

Primo1D, the world leader in embedded RAIN RFID (Ultra High Frequency Radio Frequency Identification) tags for smart objects, is proud to announce two new product launches and the closing of a new round of financing with historical investors.

The E-Strip C and E-Yarn products, already available on the market, provide a lean and embedded solution for textile traceability throughout the product lifecycle. Designed to meet the requirements of the circular economy and the Digital Product Passport in the apparel industry, they ensure efficient and sustainable traceability.

The new E-Lix product offers a highly robust solution for harsh environments, excelling in industrial laundering and demanding applications involving mechanical, chemical and temperature exposure. Its discreet design and customizable color options make it an ideal choice for customized, high-performance industrial applications.

The E-Clips product line offers a versatile "clip-on" solution based on Primo1D's advanced E-ThreadTM technology. Designed for discreet and sophisticated traceability and authentication of jewelry and luxury accessories, E-Clips seamlessly adapts to the unique branding requirements of luxury houses.

In addition, Primo1D is developing two specialized versions: an anti-tampering solution to secure high-value assets and an industrial version optimized for tracking parts during heavy maintenance operations.

With this latest round of financing and the launch of two innovative E-Thread product lines, we will drive the adoption of our technology in new market segments and bring the industrial capacity online to meet our customers' demand. By providing a non-intrusive digital ID in a miniaturized, unique form factor, our breakthrough E-Thread technology transforms products into smart objects. As such, it enables new use cases across multiple industries and supports corporate social responsibility initiatives.

As industries move toward smarter operations, the global UHF segment of the RFID chip market is experiencing rapid growth. According to RAIN Alliance Market Research, this segment is growing at an impressive CAGR of 30%, with over 30 billion components consumed annually. While large-scale textile distribution remains the primary driver, other sectors such as automotive, healthcare and transportation are increasingly contributing to this expansion.

Beyond these industries, the growing demand for sustainable packaging, industrial services and e-commerce is further accelerating the adoption of UHF RFID technology. For example, UHF RFID chips are essential for traceability in eco-friendly packaging solutions, asset tracking in industrial applications, and parcel tracking in courier and express delivery services.

With the RFID market valued at $14 billion in 2022 and projected to grow at 9-10% annually through 2030, UHF RFID chips continue to lead this transformation, reflecting their critical role in various markets.
