Toshiba Tec appoints Gorm-Erik Andresen to lead Germany/Austria business
Neuss, January 2026 – Toshiba Tec Germany Imaging Systems GmbH announces a change in the management of its Germany/Austria division: Vice President Harald Bönig (65) is ending his professional career at his own request after more than 27 years at Toshiba and a total of 38 years of industry experience, and is retiring to private life.
Responsibility for the Germany/Austria division will be taken over by Gorm-Erik Andresen, who was appointed General Manager on January 1, 2026. The 48-year-old brings with him extensive industry and corporate experience.
After starting out in human resources development, he has held various management positions in sales and marketing over the past 25 years, with responsibility for direct and indirect sales, including at UTAX and TA Triumph-Adler. Andresen has held management positions at Toshiba Tec Switzerland AG for over 14 years and was appointed President there on January 1, 2026.
In his new role, Gorm-Erik Andresen will focus on continuing and further expanding the solution business and positioning Toshiba Tec as a competent solution provider. He will be responsible for both direct sales and the specialist retail business and will report directly to Toshiba Tec CEO Yukihiro Noro.
The handover of duties will begin in January 2026. After training his successor, Harald Bönig will leave the company to devote himself to his private life.
"Since I joined the company in 1988, Toshiba has never been just an employer for me, but always a passion. Now I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life – and it is time to pass on the baton. With Gorm-Erik Andresen, the Germany/Austria division is gaining a sales and solution-oriented General Manager who knows the industry as well as Toshiba products and the company's structures and goals. I wish him and the entire team every success in their future endeavors," said Harald Bönig.
Harald Bönig began his career in 1987 as a sales representative at Rank Xerox GmbH. Between 1988 and 2000, the graduate economist held various management positions in sales and marketing at Toshiba, moved to UTAX GmbH in Norderstedt as Sales and Marketing Director in 2000, and returned to Toshiba in July 2010 as General Manager for Germany/Austria.
Since April 2023, he has also been responsible for the Toshiba Tec companies in Belgium and Switzerland as Vice President; in October 2023, he also took over the position of Managing Director at the latter.
