JYL-Tech has released a new Gen2X M830 UHF RFID laundry tag, designed for reliable textile tracking in high-throughput environments such as hospitality, healthcare, and industrial laundries.

The tag integrates the Impinj Monza M830 chip and supports the EPC Gen2v2 (Gen2X) protocol, enabling improved read stability, faster inventory processes, and enhanced data security compared to conventional UHF RFID solutions. Operating across the full 860–960 MHz band, it ensures compatibility with global RFID infrastructure, with optimized performance around 915 MHz for regional compliance.

Designed for Harsh Laundry Environments

The M830 laundry tag is engineered for long-term durability under industrial conditions. It withstands:

  • More than 200 wash cycles

  • High-temperature washing up to 90°C

  • Drying up to 180°C

  • Sterilization processes up to 135°C

The encapsulation protects against water, chemicals, mechanical stress, and repeated bending, maintaining consistent read performance even in dense textile loads. The tag supports both sewn and heat-sealed integration, allowing flexible deployment across different textile types.

Performance and Efficiency Gains

The tag is designed to improve operational efficiency in textile management systems:

  • High read sensitivity (-25.5 dBm) enables reliable detection

  • Read range of 3–7 meters supports bulk scanning of stacked linens

  • Advanced anti-collision mechanisms accelerate inventory cycles

  • Filtering capabilities reduce redundant reads and processing time

These features help reduce manual labor and improve tracking accuracy across large-scale laundry operations.

Security and Traceability

Each tag includes a unique TID (Tag Identifier) and supports data locking mechanisms, enabling secure identification and reducing the risk of counterfeiting or asset loss. This is particularly relevant for closed-loop textile systems where traceability and lifecycle tracking are critical.
