This reader puts you in a different league

FEIG ELECTRONIC, one of the leading manufacturers of RFID read/write devices, is launching two variants of a new, powerful UHF RFID long-range reader family: the LRU4000 and the LRU4000X. The reader family has been developed especially for demanding applications in industry and logistics - now you can play in a whole new league!

The readers feature robust mechanics and durable electronics. This guarantees a long service life and high availability of the devices. The lifecycle costs are close to zero, which means 100% quality - Made in Germany.

The LRU4000 has cable glands for quick connection of the connecting cables. At the same time, the housing is sealed and strain relief is provided. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. The LRU4000X features M12 round connectors, making it ideal for use in industrial environments or on all types of vehicles.

Each unit has four rugged R-TNC connectors for connecting external antennas. The number of available antenna connections can be increased by using external multiplexers. This allows even complex applications, such as intelligent shelves, to be implemented cost-effectively.

Both versions are tested according to the applicable standards for use on rail vehicles (EN50155). They can withstand extreme environmental conditions such as strong vibrations or temperature fluctuations.

Maximum reading range for efficient operations

The ID LRU4000 is a stationary long-range reader that reliably detects UHF transponders over a distance of more than 10 meters. High sensitivity combined with high immunity to interference ensures precise data capture - even with fast-moving objects or many objects to be captured in parallel. This reduces error rates, optimizes logistics processes and increases supply chain visibility.

Flexibility and easy integration

With four antenna ports, 2 watts of output power and a variety of mounting options, the ID LRU4000 adapts flexibly to any application. It can be mounted directly on a surface, on DIN rails, in racks or on VESA mounts, and can be used on conveyor belts, truck driveways or in industrial plants. With PoE support, the LRU4000 also offers another power supply option.

Plug & Play - quickly up and running

With Ethernet (IPv4/IPv6), USB and RS485, the ID LRU4000 can be easily integrated into existing IT infrastructures. The intuitive web interface makes configuration easy, while features such as "Config Cloning" make configuring multiple devices much easier.

Rugged for indoor and outdoor use

With its IP65/IP67 protection rating, the LRU4000 can withstand harsh industrial environments, dust, moisture and temperature fluctuations from -40°C to +70°C. Built-in diagnostics protect the unit from overheating, short circuits and antenna mismatch. This ensures maximum reliability with minimum maintenance.

Intelligent control and secure data processing

The newly integrated edge computing platform with Linux operating system enables the installation and operation of individual and customized software solutions directly on the device. This enables the implementation of custom applications, local data processing and reduced network traffic. The system also supports secure storage of application keys.
