DG Nexolution eG was founded over 100 years ago as “DG VERLAG”. Today, a team of around 400 employees works to advance the Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken, the goods and services cooperatives, the companies in the cooperative network and beyond.
How we do this is already reflected in our name, which is composed of “next”, “experts” and “solutions”: As specialists with experience and expertise, we develop solutions that suit our customers and their diverse requirements. At the same time, we strengthen them for future developments and challenges. We think ahead and already have an eye on what comes next.
Our customers include the cooperative banks with almost 700 Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken, the network partners of the Genossenschaftliche FinanzGruppe and the more than 2,000 goods and services cooperatives in Germany.
Our range of solutions includes future-proof services and products in a variety of areas: from payment, procurement, marketing and digitalization to the effective implementation of sustainability.
We provide support, for example, with concepts for the digital payments of tomorrow and beyond, efficient, digital materials procurement, intelligent marketing and customer loyalty programs and structured measures to achieve sustainability goals.
Our products range from girocards, Mastercard and Visa cards to readers for online banking and mobile payment solutions. We also offer individual card solutions for other companies.

TIMBERCARD
The TIMBERCARD is the world’s first plastic-free wood payment card that can be used like any conventional banking card.
The card body is fully biodegradable, except for the chip, HF antenna and magnetic stripe. When exposed to the soil, it decomposes much quicker than conventional plastic cards.
- Card body is plasticfree and therefore fully bio-degradable (except the magnetic and eletronic components)
- Full functionality and dual-interface payment due to state-of-the-art smart card technology.
- Wood from sustainable and FSC©-certified forestry in Switzerland and the EU.
- Magnetic stripe and hotstamping of security holograms possible.
- Only bio-adhesive is used for bonding the different layers.
- Extraordinary touch & feel experience. Each card is a unique ambassador of nature.
- Antenna inlay made of FSC©-certified paper.
- High surface hardness and scratch resistance.
