Controlled RAIN UHF RFID Tracking for Pallets, Cartons and Items

The Times-7 Portal is a RAIN UHF RFID portal system for accurate pallet, carton and item-level tracking in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing and retail environments. It is designed for defined RFID checkpoints such as dock doors, receiving areas, dispatch lanes, cross-docking zones and retail back-of-house transitions.

The system uses high-gain, circularly polarised antenna technology with a focused 50° horizontal beamwidth. This concentrates RF energy on the target lane and helps reduce unwanted reads from adjacent lanes, surrounding pallets or nearby tagged goods. The result is a controlled read zone for more reliable RFID event data.

Three Portal Configurations

The Times-7 Portal is available in three configurations to match different operational requirements:

1. Portal System
   For wider openings, taller pallets and mixed-product operations. The Portal System provides maximum read-zone coverage for larger checkpoint areas.

2. Portal Tower
   For narrow openings, tall pallet profiles and single-sided installations. The Portal Tower is suited to space-limited environments where targeted coverage is required.

3. Portal Base
   For lower pallets, densely packed tags and challenging products, including liquids, metals and apparel. The Portal Base concentrates RF coverage for lower-height loads and difficult UHF RFID applications.

Designed for Real Deployment Conditions

The Times-7 Portal is compatible with standard RAIN RFID readers and can be used in new RFID installations or as part of existing RFID infrastructure. Its modular configuration allows each read point to be right-sized for the specific lane, product profile or process step.

The platform is rated IP54 and designed for permanent installation in busy dock-door and warehouse environments. It supports straightforward installation, field adjustments, servicing and future business expansion.
