Toshiba Tec Germany Appoints Kei Kato as Its New President & CEO
Kei Kato will assume the position of President & CEO of Toshiba Tec Germany Imaging Systems GmbH effective July 1, 2026. The long-time Toshiba Tec executive is returning to Neuss to lead the European organization, bringing with him experience in sales, business planning, governance, and international subsidiary management.

Toshiba Tec Germany Imaging Systems GmbH has appointed Kei Kato as its new President & CEO. The 48-year-old will assume leadership on July 1, 2026, succeeding Yukihiro Noro, who had held the CEO position for six months starting in January 2026 as planned, in addition to his other responsibilities within the European organization.
Kato has been with Toshiba Tec Corporation since 2001. After earning his degree in economics from Aoyama Gakuin University, he began his career in OEM and European sales. In these roles, he supported strategic development, customer relations, and the financial management of the business.
Experience in European Planning and Regional Leadership
Between 2010 and 2015, Kato worked at Toshiba Tec Germany Imaging Systems in Neuss. As Senior Manager of European Business Planning, he was responsible for Europe-wide objectives and worked on the company’s organizational development.
He then moved to Toshiba Tec UK, where, as Deputy Managing Director, he supported regional management and the development of the business in the UK market.
At the end of 2017, Kato returned to Toshiba Tec Corporation in Japan. In the Americas & Oceania Department, he assumed leadership roles in financial management, internal governance, and strategic direction. Starting in 2021, he led the Overseas Subsidiaries Supporting Department in various capacities and supported communication and operational coordination among the international subsidiaries.
Move from the U.S. Business to Europe
Since February 2022, Kato has served as Senior Vice President at Toshiba America Business Solutions. In this role, he supports the CEO, oversees day-to-day operations, and coordinates strategic collaboration with the corporate headquarters in Tokyo.
With his return to Germany, Kato is taking over as head of Toshiba Tec Germany Imaging Systems at the European headquarters in Neuss. The company’s business activities in Europe are managed and coordinated from there.
Solutions for Industry, Logistics, and Retail
Toshiba Tec Germany Imaging Systems offers printers, multifunction systems, and software solutions for document management. The portfolio is complemented by label printers for applications in industry, logistics, retail, healthcare, and the service sector.
The appointment will take effect on July 1, 2026.
