WIoT Tomorrow 2025: Strategic development through a return to core strengths
November 24, 2025 By WIoT tomorrow 2 min

WIoT Tomorrow 2025 concludes with a clear message: the courage to change pays off. A conscious focus on core content attracted more top managers and increased the value for each individual exhibitor.

The year 2025 was a decisive one for WIoT Tomorrow. In a challenging economic environment, we deliberately concentrated on our core strengths: practical relevance, hardware focus, and expert knowledge. The strategic repositioning of the event, which took place on October 22 and 23, was accepted by the market and proved to be a success.

Conference revival: The heart of the event

A key element of the success was the revival of the conference program, which, after a hiatus since 2019, built on the successful formats of previous years. Divided into six forums over two days, the conference provided a first-class platform for 53 experts in 36 high-caliber presentations. This revival opened up new opportunities for us as organizers to attract high-profile companies and speakers such as Bosch, BMW, and HHLA.

Practice & dynamics: The success of SpeedLabs

At the same time, the 22 SpeedLabs brought the trade fair to life like never before. This format for fast, focused knowledge transfer was very well attended and recorded impressive growth of 83.3% compared to the previous year. The combination of in-depth conferences and dynamic practical formats proved to be a recipe for success.

Qualität & Hardwarefokus: Ein Publikum aus Entscheidern

Our clear positioning as the meeting place for hardware and practical content in the field of wireless IoT paid off. WIoT Tomorrow 2025 attracted an audience of decision-makers. The proportion of visitors from higher management rose by 12.2% to 46%. Together with middle management, 77% of all participants came from management positions – the perfect contacts for our hardware-focused exhibitors.

Expertise & internationality: Growing global reach

The focus on concentrated expert knowledge increased the international appeal of the event. While simultaneously pursuing our goal of regaining German market share, we were able to significantly increase the number of visitors from other European countries (+15.2%) and overseas (+13.3%). Participants came primarily from the core industries of IT, industrial production, and logistics.

Outlook for 2026: The vision is becoming clearer

Planning for 2026 is already in full swing. Our vision is based on the consistent continuation of our strategy: targeted focus instead of broad diversification. Specifically, this means:

  • New strategic partnerships and targeted further development of the conference will enrich the program.
  • The profile will be further sharpened by significantly strengthening the second day of the trade fair in order to create a better balance with the visitor frequency on the first day.
  • SpeedLabs remain an integral part of the trade fair offering.

Our goal remains to establish the trade fair as the central location for anyone looking for a practical, hardware-focused event specializing in wireless IoT.
