Detailed product information

UHF RFID Gate for Automatic Goods Detection

The UHF-RFID gate UHF-SYS-GATE-PASS-ETSI from Turck enables contactless detection of multiple RFID-tagged objects as they pass through defined transfer points. The solution is suitable for automated goods movements in intralogistics, particularly during goods receipt, warehouse transfers, and shipping logistics.

Automatic RFID Batch Detection in Material Flow

The UHF-SYS-GATE-PASS-ETSI identifies RFID-tagged goods and load carriers within a defined detection zone. The simultaneous detection of multiple data carriers enables the automated documentation of goods movements, for example, when loading products or transporting them through warehouse areas.

Thanks to its stationary installation, each detection can be assigned to a fixed transfer point. As a result, RFID readings can serve as the basis for tracking material movements and further processing in higher-level logistics systems.

Variable Gate Dimensions and Easy System Integration

The RFID gate features an adjustable aluminum frame with a width ranging from 1,700 to 4,300 mm and a height ranging from 2,800 to 3,600 mm. This allows the passage opening to be adapted to different spatial requirements.

The pre-installed TVSnode software supports commissioning and provides an integrated REST API interface for communication with higher-level systems. The connection is made via Ethernet; Power over Ethernet according to IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) is supported.

The system operates in the European UHF RFID frequency range of 865 to 868 MHz and is designed for use in the EU, India, Turkey, and South Africa.

For Demanding Industrial Environments

With an IP67 protection rating and an operating temperature range of −30 to +50 °C, the RFID gate is designed for demanding industrial operating conditions.

The achievable read performance depends on the RFID tags used, their arrangement, and the environmental conditions. Metal, in particular, can affect the radio field. Turck therefore recommends testing the application under real operating conditions, especially when detecting moving objects.
