Detailed product information
Turck Q150 UHF RFID Reader for Industrial Ethernet
The Turck Q150 UHF RFID reader is a compact read/write head for industrial identification applications in UHF RFID systems. The TN-UHF-Q150-EU-EN variant supports PROFINET Device, EtherNet/IP Device, and Modbus TCP Slave and can be integrated directly into industrial Ethernet networks. Two M12 Ethernet ports, an integrated Ethernet switch, and an integrated web server support integration close to the control system in PC or PLC systems.
The reader is designed for use in Europe, the United Kingdom, India, Turkey, and South Africa in the 865 to 868 MHz frequency range. With an adjustable output power of up to 0.5 W ERP, the Q150 is suitable for individual UHF RFID read points with short to medium read distances. The integrated antenna features a half-power beamwidth of 90 degrees and adjustable right- or left-circular polarization. This allows the reader to be adapted to different installation scenarios and reflection conditions.
For easy use of the RFID functionality, the Q150 comes factory-equipped with the "U" data interface. This enables integration close to the control system in PLC systems without the need for a special function block. A web-based UHF RFID test tool supports evaluation of the air interface, while LED indicators and diagnostics facilitate commissioning and monitoring during operation.
The Q150 is designed as a rugged IP67 device for industrial environments. The housing is made of aluminum, and the active surface is made of glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide. The reader operates at ambient temperatures ranging from -30 to +50 degrees Celsius and is CE-certified. With dimensions of 150 × 150 × 61.7 mm, it is suitable for decentralized mounting positions on machines, conveyor lines, or logistics points.
A passive UHF RFID antenna can be connected via an additional RP-TNC connector. This allows for additional read ranges, for example on conveyor systems, transfer points, or applications with dual-sided detection. Various passive UHF RFID antennas as well as HF240 coaxial cables in different lengths are available as accessories.
The Turck Q150 UHF RFID reader is suitable for users and system integrators who wish to integrate individual RFID reading points directly into industrial Ethernet architectures. Typical applications include intralogistics, automotive, packaging, and food and beverage applications. The Q150 offers a compact and robust solution, particularly where RFID data needs to be processed close to the controller and used without additional interface modules.
