Mobile HF RFID Reader for Data Capture, Maintenance and Asset Tracking
The iID® POCKETwork PRO HF from microsensys is a compact mobile HF RFID read/write reader operating at 13.56 MHz. It can be used as an RFID read/write unit, HID RFID keyboard scanner or RFID data collector and is designed for integration with smartphones, tablets and other mobile computing devices.
The reader supports ISO 15693, ISO 14443 A/B and ISO 18000-3, as well as LEGIC®. Compatible chip families include I-CODE®, Tag-it®, MIFARE Ultralight and Classic, NXP N-TAG and several other HF RFID transponders. This enables the POCKETwork PRO HF to work with standard tags, smart labels and compatible sensor transponders.
Capture RFID Data Directly at the Point of Work
Connection to a host system is provided via Bluetooth 5.1 or USB-C. According to the datasheet, Bluetooth communication is possible over distances of up to 20 meters. HID and SPP communication modes are supported, while the microsensys iID® driver engine provides the software interface for Windows, Android and iOS environments.
An OLED display, RGB LED, vibration and buzzer provide immediate feedback on device and reading status. The HF RFID operating distance is up to 5 cm, depending on the transponder type and environmental conditions.
Designed for Mobile Industrial Applications
With dimensions of 86 × 54 × 12 mm, the reader is designed for compact mobile use. Its housing is rated IP65, and the specified operating temperature range extends from -20 to +60 °C. The integrated Li-polymer battery provides up to 10 hours of operation, depending on the operating mode.
