Reliable RFID Identification on Metal Surfaces

The tag is available in round and square formats, including D15, D18, D20, D23 and D25 mm versions as well as 20 × 20 mm and 25 × 25 mm formats. At just 1.3 mm thick, it can be mounted using 3M 467 adhesive or, for selected versions, a central hole for screws or rivets.

With IP68 protection, the RFID On-Metal PVC Tag is suitable for indoor and outdoor identification applications. It operates from -25 °C to +50 °C and can be stored at temperatures from -55 °C to +75 °C. Optional anti-UV treatment, protective overlays and laser engraving support durable identification where printed information must remain readable over time.

Depending on the selected technology, the tag supports LF chips such as TK4100 and T5577, as well as HF and NFC ICs including ICODE SLIX, MIFARE Ultralight, MIFARE Classic 1K, NTAG213 and NTAG216. Typical read ranges are up to 15 cm for LF and up to 7 cm for HF and NFC configurations.
