UHF RFID Processing and POS Integration at the Retail Edge

The READFINITY CORE from Checkpoint Systems is an all-in-one UHF RFID reader designed for retail environments. It combines RFID data capture, security functions and processing capabilities in a compact platform for applications at the checkout and beyond. The system is available as the RC110 with four ports and the RC120 with eight ports.

A key strength is its integration with existing POS infrastructures and retail systems. Hardware and software backward compatibility support a smooth transition from already deployed POS environments, while USB keyboard emulation provides an additional option for transferring RFID-derived data directly into compatible checkout applications.

READFINITY CORE is engineered for fast RFID reading and combines secure communications with integrated theft-protection capabilities. Beyond RFID identification, the platform can also handle sensor and camera data as well as multimedia processing, extending its role from a conventional reader toward a broader retail edge platform with future potential for local Edge AI.
