Textile Lifecycle Tracking with RFID

  • RFID promotes sustainability
  • Track & trace of textiles
  • Lifecycle tracking
  • Reducing textile waste

HUAYUAN has already developed hundreds of RFID products. The company‘s laundry RFID products bring great benefits to the traditional textile service industry, reducing strenuous labor, and increasing productivity and efficiency. With precision, dynamic data transparency, and a seamless circulation of inventory, a great amount of running costs and investments are saved. Inventory circulation is smooth and goods cycles are optimized.

HUAYUAN’s laundry RFID tags provide unparalleled visibility throughout the textile’s lifecycle. One of the company’s clients put a number of peer RFIDs together for 200 field tests. The performance of HUAYUAN’s RFID tags was quite impressive. HUAYUAN made on-site visits in order to understand the requirements of the client and promptly researched and developed new products to further satisfy their needs. The result: sustainable and efficient laundry management through the monthly provision of millions of RFID laundry tags to customers. HUAYUAN’s laundry tag is updated several times each year. The company is ready to increase its capacity and upgrade product quality by the end of this year.

RFID Tags for the Laundry Industry

  2. The RFID laundry button with LF/HF/UHF
  3. The RFID silicone laundry tag.

Laundry Tags from HUAYUAN are certified according to the Standard 100 Class II certification by OEKO-TEX® and ATP by EECC. The tags are designed to withstand the harsh conditions of industrial laundry processes.

RFID Laundry Applications

HUAYUAN’s RFID laundry tags provide laundry items with a unique digital identity. Textiles are tracked throughout the supply chain, from production to logistics, to the shop floor, in industrial laundries, and beyond. Data on the origins, quality, and materials of each garment is made available to brands and customers. During production, the RFID tag can be used for the inventory monitoring of raw materials, semifinished and finished products. Production efficiency and quality control are improved. Applications include inventory management in production and on the shop-floor, garment localization, and theft prevention. The result: Textiles are securely managed and transparent throughout the supply chain, and labor costs are reduced.

RFID: A Trend for a Sustainable Textile Industry

In the EU, the Digital Product Passport (DPP) initiative of the European Commission is aimed at a more sustainable Europe. DPPs are to be implemented in the textile, construction, industrial and electric vehicle battery and consumer electronics industry by 2026. The goal is to make product data available to brands and customers in order to promote a circular economy. In line with these regulations, HUAYUAN is currently exploring the possibilities in textile lifecycle tracking with RFID and how these tags make disposal and recycling processes more efficient. “We believe that there are great market prospects for RFID in the textile and apparel industry in the coming years,” says Tao.
